My only true passion: MOVIES!

Great movie
Since I was a little kid, I've always loved watching movies and TV series. And not only the kids stuff that my parents let me watch. My brother showed me a lot of movies when I was like 9 or 10 years old, because he was in the AV club (audiovisual club) in high school. I remember one in specific, called "The triplets of Belleville" that marked me, because it was an animated movie nothing like the others I've watched.

Remember this?
Five years later, my sister started working at Blockbuster, and she was allowed to borrow any kind of movie (even first releases) so we watched together many, many movies for less than a year.

In high school I joined the AV club. We watched and analyze a lot of movies there. We also filmed short films, but not very professionally, because we didn't have enough resources.

I don't know why I didn't study Film or Audiovisual Communication, it didn't occur to me. But I joined journalism in ICEI and realize that I didn't have to study that to work in something related to movies. I have had audiovisual courses and I liked them very much.

I hope my future will be related to this, because I don't see me doing anything else.

My future...

Since I started college I've always wondered what am I going to do when I graduate. It's something that I can't stop thinking about and haven't came with an answer jet.  The only thing I know for sure is that I don't want to be a journalist per se. I don't like reporting news because it's too demanding and you don't know when you are going to be needed if you work for a newspaper or TV and radio.

But I like to do other things. I would like to work for a magazine, doing reports and articles or maybe for a radio station, in a music or talk program. Also, I would like to work in production, like for movies, TV series or documentaries.

Before I do all that, I would like to have a year for myself, travelling if possible. I would like to get a masters degree in audiovisual communication or do a course in the same area but in another country, like USA or in Europe. But I think after I do that I want a sabbatical year, maybe doing the "Work and Travel" experience. I don't know, anything could happen in my last 2 years.

Lollapalooza 2013: the best concert I've ever been

I have been in many concerts. In 2011 I went to my first real concert, and it was Paul Mccartney at the Estadio Nacional. I went with my dad and it was amazing. But perhaps the best concert I’ve ever been was Lollapalooza in 2013.

This festival took place in Parque O’Higgins and lasted two days. The first day I went with a friend but we eventually separate because of the artists we wanted to see.

Josh Homme from QOTSA, aka HOTTIE <3
I was very excited because Queens of the Stone Age –one of my favorite bands- were going to perform, and I was alone at the first line waiting for the band to play. The minute the first song played, people started to jump and squeeze me so I had to get out because I am very short and couldn’t see anything. But I think going alone to see QOTSA was very fun and one of the best experiences of my life. I was screaming all the songs and wasn’t ashamed of it.

Eddie Vedder

That day Pearl Jam also performed, but I was kind of tired, so I picked a spot not very near but with a great view and I sang the songs alone. I saw Pearl Jam 2 years ago so I didn’t care to be in the front line. It was very peaceful and beautiful because of the fireworks after the show.

The country I would like to visit

If it was for me, I would travel all around the world, but you need a lot of money and time to do that, so the country I would like to visit in a near future its Peru. Many of my friends have traveled to Peru, especifically to Machu Picchu and Cuzco, and I haven't had the opportunity to go there.
Machu Picchu, Perú
The main reason I want to go to Peru is because everybody tells me its amazing, that I NEED to go. Also because of the landscape, and the beautiful views you get to see on top of the Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu mountains.

Plaza de Armas de Cuzco, Peru
Also, I would like to get to Machu Picchu backpacking with my closest friends, and take many photos as possible. I think I would travel to Peru next year, because I have a cousin who is going to move to Lima the next year, I hope she can give me a place to stay while I'm there, and show me Peru trhough the eyes of a resident.
