My green habits

How green am I? Well, I can’t say I’m a green person but I’m not the opposite of that either. I have green light bulbs at my house which is kind of annoying because they tend to turn on very slowly, but at least I’m doing something for the environment.

When I was little I was a girl scout and I learned to keep my environment clean and all that stuff. I also learned to make trash bins with tree branches, so now throwing away the garbage in the appropriate disposals it’s a habit. I always pick up trash that I see laying on the floor and look for a trash can to put it there, or keep my garbage (candy wrappers, napkins, tissues, etc.) in my purse and later find a trash bin to throw them away.

The next step I want to take is separate my garbage, recycle. In May I went to New York and stayed in other people’s apartments. Everyone recycled there because it was mandatory (by law) and I was forced to do so, and it wasn’t very difficult. You just have to separate your organic waste from your everyday trash and that’s it.

When I got back from USA I didn’t keep recycling my trash and I hope to start now. I want to be good with the environment and it’s never too late to start

Food it's what makes us human

Maybe one of my other passions is definitely food. I love food so much that it makes me angry when I eat something that I don’t like. For example, when I was a little kid and my mom had spinach stew for lunch, I got so angry (well, not that angry), that I kept bummed out all day, until tea time when my grandma fed me with cookies and other stuff.
It doesn't look very good, but I swear it's the best!

I think most of my favorite meals were made by my grandma when I was a little kid. One of the meals that I like it’s definitely spätzle, a german (or swiss, I don’t know for sure) dish that you can serve with anything you like. They are like noodles if we can describe it. My grandma makes them in all our birthdays. The spätzles my grandma cooks are covered in a bacon and cucumber sauce. Very delicious!

My one true love <3
In other side, I can’t finish this post without talking about potato. I love it in its many forms: mashed, fries, boiled, in a stew, baked, sautéed, you name it! but french fries are my infatuation. They are my soul food. I don’t cook them very much because of the process that implicates, but I eat them anytime I can. If I keep going like these I would die by a heart attack very soon.
